Shawn Schilling

Lead Trainer/Owner

Shawn Schilling brings a lifetime of experience to the show ring, having been actively involved in horses and ponies since the age of four. A former 4-H competitor herself, she understands the values and learning opportunities the program offers young equestrians.

Over the years, Shawn has earned multiple World and National Championship titles across a wide range of breeds and disciplines, reflecting her deep versatility and horsemanship. She is the owner and head trainer at Windance Farms, a nationally recognized training and show facility dedicated to developing both equine athletes and youth riders.

Shawn is a carded judge with the American Shetland Pony Club, the American Miniature Horse Registry, and the American Show Pony Registry (ASPC/AMHR/ASPR), and she has served as a judge for numerous local and regional 4-H shows. Her commitment to fairness, education, and encouraging the next generation of equestrians defines her judging philosophy.

William Schilling

Pony Trainer/Owner

William Schilling began riding horses at the age of four and has remained deeply involved with the equine world ever since. While still in high school, he successfully owned and operated a trail riding business, combining his early passion with entrepreneurial drive.

Today, William co-owns Windance Farms with his wife, Shawn, where they specialize in training and showing horses and ponies at the highest levels. Since taking up driving in 2019, William has gone on to earn multiple World and National Championship titles in both horse and pony driving divisions.

His approach blends hands-on experience, patient horsemanship, and a deep appreciation for each animal’s unique potential.

By the age of 18, Skye has successfully started young horses from the ground up—breaking, training, and presenting them in top-tier competitions with poise and skill.
